Long Weekend
Began on Fri, with a super long biatching session with BC again... Ya, it was already 1 week after the event, (ok, 6 days to be precise) and i was still not in a good mood... We headed out for dinner/supper after his piano lesson at my place. The event was rather well done. I didn't out-do myself, but i think everyone kinda out-did themselves - considering Choir was in somewhat pretty low morale and the instrumentalists, up to the last sessions were not even sure of their notes and some pple were still dropping out cuz of medical issues and all. So basically, my non-verbal communication aka conducting obviously came through well enough so much so screw-ups were minimal and I seriously couldn't have asked for a more. It seriously and truly exceeded my expectations. - So performance-wise the entire Mass was good - of course as always, could've been better d'uh. The other performance - not much to comment. Obviously we were the more "professional sounding" group. Jer was there and commented that the way the Chinese Choir sang showed that they seemed to "Love God more"... ha so cheem. That, was a fresh perspective. Always takes an "external/unrelated" party to remind me of such things... oh well.
So N-Day long weekend got off with a bi*tching start. I think i only got home close to 12... again. Sat was just a teach-teach day. Had dinner with the family and granny at the Coffee-shop near our old place. I kinda like the fish soup steamboat thingy... heh. Liked the slightly gingery and sweet taste. Had weird dreams that night... (was disturbed by some stuff lah - not the fish)
Anyways, Sunday was like crazy... first i had to get to like pack for the night... - Godson's place! woohoo~! Ya, then got to the K sisters' place to give them lesson. (Didn't want to cut short my Pasir Ris stay on Monday morning... and they requested to move up the Tuesday lesson) I wasn't intending to head to church anyway so having their lesson first followed by the one in BB was just TIMELY. :) Got picked up at central and Jer and I went for bakkutteh... @ AMK. Then i had my dao huay before we set off for Godson's place... ya, wattodo, boys will be boys, and after the little bit of intro to Jee, Jer was interested to check out his sound system... (nothing to say manz... nothing) We had dinner - ate pizzas and loaded on sugary stuff then the boys - the kids went for a short joy-ride, in Jer's car. Of course since my intention was to stay the night at their place, i didn't go back lah. After that, we played Wii! Aiyoh - i SO love it! The new attachment thingy for the controls made the games really fun and they've even given me a profile on their wii-set now... ;) After many rounds of bowling, archery, frisbee, flying, wake-boarding the kids had to go slp. I totally bummed out on their Sofa in front of the TV... watching 300 and The Bros Grimms. Was it the Sugar-load? - I slept really, really, really well that night. First time in a really loooong time i had undisturbed, un-self-awaken sleep.
We all slept like pigs till like 9 plus tht morning. Headed to xin wang at White Sands for breakfast -i was tempted by the porridge... argh... so instead of "saving" my stomach for the Merchant Court thingy with B and R, i ate anyway :( Took much less time travelling from PR to Clarke Quay cuz of this new way... nice! I shall remember that next time i have to be at these places. Hi-tea was alright... the food wasn't tremendously fascinating. We got news though that one of our friends has registered for Gr 5 flute exam and had asked for our help... haha... what a good place to ask... More buffets to come...! Coming up next... Shangri-la - The Line! DECADENCE to it's max...
Still can't locate my little bit of notes from Turkey! So sad...
I'm just glad the entire thing is all over... haven't stepped into church since 2nd and today's the 14th. But have ONE more outstanding thing tht someone "promised" on my behalf to do for tmr morning... argh... no choice lah, have to play for assumption. Just informed my parents tht i won't be heading to church this Sunday... They kinda assumed i'd be heading to the 1045 mass... so i had to say something! Jer even suggested i go for the Chinese service instead... haha - i haven't attended one in ages and i'd probably fall asleep during the mass cuz of the v v early chinese mass times... so i think better not. heh.
