Is there a point in chasing something you've lost...?
I so wanted to put this in yesterday, as I was thinking of this all the way from church to Holl Vill to home... but couldn't, was a bit too drunk and tired.
Yes, drunk. I headed to church after band prac in school. Along the way, I kinda dropped my Mobile Phone pouch! - the one that I bought in JP, Ginza Yamaha. The problem was that I didn't realize that I had dropped it until I reached church. Seeing that I had a good 15 minutes before stations of the cross, I headed out and backtracked to try and find my pouch... unfortunately, I didn't see it anywhere. I headed back to church after scouting about half of Ave 1. All the time, I was thinking, "If I'm meant to lose it and never find it again, it's meant to be...".
As usual, some particular phrase from the stations of the cross always hits me. On my way out to catch 106 to mt Ben @ Holl Vill for dinner, I walked through the same path I walked earlier on. To my joy, I actually found my pouch. I couldn't actually place it, but when I lost it, I felt some kind of anxiety, when I found it, there was actually a sudden peace. Yes, I know it's only a Mobile phone pouch, but, it feels like there is a msg somehow... still trying to figure it somehow. I've fought all sorts of battles. Most of which are very important to me,(otherwise fight for wat?) are the ones I actually fought for and have lost... Is this an indication that I haven't fought and persevered enough? Is this an indication that I had given up many battles before because I subconsciously know that I actually dun wanna win? Wondered for a while whether I had given certain things up too prematurely, so much so there wasn't actually enough time to think things through? Is it also yet another indication that I should pick up come old pieces and try to snap them back in place?
Went Tango's for a really late dinner... It was good! I had a lychee martini, shared mussels and sauteed mushrooms. Had a fish and chips for main. By the time we left that place, I was high... no, it wasn't alcohol high. Just high on life... Anyways, he said it was a great way to end the buzy week, very relaxing, sit and drink, and talk... I so agree... One of the better meals I've had, no holding back with thoughts, talking, eating, drinking. Just talking. Pleasant evening considering the painful, irritating one week beginning last Sunday. It was pretty late by the time we left Holl Vill... kinda like after supper after band prac. Heard some things which made me kinda glad I didn't try too hard to be in the latest concert. Heard there was quite a number of screw ups... I guess that's why I had a different type of problem - to face though I wasn't involved in the concert... Just glad...
BBQ kinda just ended. Am happy with the company. Was happy with the number that turned up, and the enthusiasm of some members. Too bad some people had to miss it. Yes, boardgame owner, you were missed... ;) both u and the boardgame. Got a 'tigerwood' flute rod from Joel... so cool! Extremely thankful too for my section mates' help - pong and joel to purchase stuff and boss for the car transportation home.
I must find things and write things that I should be thankful about. After all, I am indeed a very blessed person. Blessed with many good things in my life. Should complain less. Must complain less.
