Tanabata - One year on...
Msg of the day - there is a thin line between a miracle and a coincidence... the thin line is FAITH

For those who DO remember... yes, it was exactly ONE year ago on this day that i officially resigned from the Education Service - so that (in the words of Ras) - "I can educate".

What have i done this past year?
- played for a number of church weddings, wedding dinners and reception.
- involved in 2 bands - 1 pri and 1 sec.
- got a stable circle of piano students.
- taught in a choir and just moved on to another.
- experienced a good number of conductors and rehearsals - some more motivating and inspiring than others(good or bad, still a lot to learn)
- gone to jiuzaigou and Egypt.

I've also learnt some stuff:
I've learnt not to obsess over where the next dollar, student, deal is going to come in.
I've learnt not to obsess over why occassionally some pupils just leave.
I've learnt that The Lord DOES provide - proved in just so many countless ways - thus, due to miracles (as i would very much like to call it) happening i'm believing more and more that this IS indeed the route i should be taking. As miracles have been given in abundance.
That i've got a great family supporting my dreams.
That i've got a good small circle of friends who are protective of my interests and my career as a freelance musician/educator.

To conclude - it's been a good year. Couldn't have asked for more - cuz it was already much more than i asked for.

And to conclude a good year... I had a good dinner @ Tonkichi! heh... ;)
and a shopping spree @ Sweet Classics woohoo... 2 bags full, so luckily got transport home ow no way of getting home...
