Ended the short stint i had with Central Band. Well, the experience was fun while it lasted. Playing with them was fun. However, sitting through some of the masterclasses was interesting for me. Bostock's concept of a concert and squeezing that many conductors to conduct so few pieces was quite refreshing too. Learnt quite a bit from the few sessions that i sat through. It was tiring though, counting bars, repeating and repeating parts of a piece again and again. Ya, if it's bad for me, it's worse for the fulltimers. Heh...
Supper on Fri was @ NYDC. I realised something though. I think the FSG is so used to talking and crapping to one another so much so that, when 2 or 3 of us were with another few more supposed "good friends", there seemed to be some tension... or a lack of conversational topics... i know it seems odd this can happen, but... I really, really felt that way. Cuz, when they left, it felt natural to just crap, with or without our missing FSGians...
