A real nothing... sheesh...

A perfectly normal weekend... nothing too significant... here's the boring stuff...

beginning of the weekend... fri evening. I msged the usu pple to go for dinner... Ras (whom i din call bcos of his idiosyncracy about getting to band prac real early) msged both ben and i to inform that he was with his pupils at pizza hut... wat the...!? anyways, by the time ben and I got to JP, he had already left for band, so we went to Mos instead. The supper was at Crystal Jade... as requested by our dear Ras... oh well... weird taste buds i suppose... band prac was cool... still find it tiring to use vandoren 4... should down size next time...

Had a little performance on Sat for the kids at the CC... played 2 kiddo songs... it's the song that's kiddo, but it's definitely not written for kids to play...! One was a medley of English nursery rhymes and songs. The other was a medley of chinese songs from childhood... cute stuff... btwn perf and prac, Rui asked me if i was free the next day... today lah... so I was like, nothing on at the moment... wat's up? so she said she had another compli tix to tedd Joselson's perf of Rach 2 and 3 for today... Of course I took the tix!

Headed to church this morning.... again, sight-singing ALL the alto parts for the day... when am I going to get my Choral Praise hymnal? though i enjoy training my sight-singing skills... i think I'm getting better at it! haha... headed for VCH at about 3... Concert at 5... Bumped into chenyee on the way to VCH... hey! i didn't know u were a rach fan? saw so many familiar faces... but most were on stage... in the brass and woodwind section. egad! so many of them soooo familiar! saw benji and ed... prob invited by Darren to the concert...(Kudos to Darren for the sweet Horn solo in Rach 2) bumped into Pierre too...! he's like the 'business devt manager' of the arts company... whoa... (one year my junior... and he's like UP there.... and wat am i doing...? gosh) ok...

Orch... was a japalang thing... made up of players from all over... anyways, tedd joselson played well... cept for a couple of parts i felt were inappropriately accented and rough... Pls tell me they were accidents! Orch... couldn't really understand why the string players had to do 'pizz' so hard that the string hits the fingerboard... hmm... spent some of 2nd half communicating via sms to Chenyee... who had quite a few similar complaints... well well... i thought we could continue the '$itching' after concert... too bad u disappeared soooo fast...

went for dinner at fish and co after the concert with elaine (who was already with me), Rui, Ras, yibin, peiying and emerald... 2 others, i think jianxing and terrence, joined us later... as usu, ras and I took bus back... the rest took train... On the way back, got a missed call from teow... msged him to ask wat's up... he called back and asked if i was free tmr... hmmm... for dinner... apparently the few central band guys are mtg up for dinner and have decided to call me along...?!? hmm... i smell fish... esp, when Alvin took over and talked crap... supp it'll be the usu... like the previous time after I had to stand-in for Esplanade lib. perf - teow, al seville, clare, boss...!?

Still have papers to mark... better start marking...
