My Ups and Downs

It's almost midnight...

Invigilating always makes me think of a lot of things... life stuff... trash... the billion and ONE things I could have better spent my time instead of walking around and watching pple write weird things on their answer script...
A few things I thought of... or rather, indulged in... (a lot of dreaming here)
1) how to again, rearrange classes so that I could test them within this week and such that I spend as little time outside of lesson doing tests...
2) the many many things that have happened during the past year... both in school, outside school... everything... some flashback...
3) thinking of later - which is essentially just now, with my piano lesson and dinner...
4) counting, praying, humming-quietly to myself, dreaming...

I hate invigilation - what a waste of good time and human resource... though I can't deny it's a pretty good break from all the teaching and screaming... but kinda just felt that term 3 and 4 just FLEW... esp with my several days MC, WASBE Conference and coupled with invigilation, it's no wonder I feel so out of touch with my class kids!

Anyways, after invigilation, i thought I could get home... take a nice long stroll... and then head to the pool or the tennis court... but NO... bombarded by TL... made me do some purchase order thing which I could actually do without... (because i dunno a damn thing! and it's passed to me past the deadline!?!? wat was that all about?) Again, after all the arrangement thingy with my band tutors, and sending the attchmt to my other teachers... one came back to me basically from what she says... it sounds like i'm giving too much, not willing to help, and basically not bothering myself with them... I was like ... wat the??? and there is no need for you to sound so bluddeeee defensive lor... sheesh... i also din say u nvr do ur work wat... OMG...

Then came the torture of the day... my exam paper's too difficult?!?! totally not in the mood to discuss exam passage and qsn... I really can't take English anymore... hope I get out of it next year... I'll attempt to find boss and talk to her about the double music period. A huge apology to the 2 wonderful ladies... mei choong and lai cheng for withstanding my mood and crap swings... sorry... i know my attitude today totally sucked...

Got a lift back from my 'cubicle-mate' today... she doesn't usually drive... but happens to have the car for the coming 3 weeks cuz her parents are away... thanks Crystal! managed to catch 40-winks before heading out to teach piano... came back... in time for a shower and some piano banging (almost forgot that i had to accompany Calvin for his gr 8 Saxophone exam... until i saw the score lying pathetically on my piano)... before heading out with the guys...

Mother asked me who I was going out with... I said a bunch of people... She asked how I was going... I said someone picking me up... she asked if it was Mindy... I said no it was another group of people and i really had no idea who was going to pick me up... she basically expected names... and i basically couldn't furnish her with any... I knew I was supposed to have dinner with Alvin S and Terence... and who else I dunno liao... for wat... worse... lagi dunno... who's driving? I suppose boss lor... it felt like a weird combi really...

So... dinner was really dinner... buffet at Oriental Hotel's Cafe...Who were there? Me and 5 other Central Band pple... Alvin S, Teow, the SDM himself, Clare and this other person 'Jax' or smethin... anyways, it was like a reunion of sorts gone 'wrong'... I'm definitely (obviously) NOT a Central Band person (was or is - other than the one gig i helped them out with)... but... all was fun... We were all talking like we're from the same clique... pretty cool... it's kinda weird how these guys are actually this close... there were a few instances it was more like a 'you are a part of us... u can't escape' kind of thing... i was like... erm... ok... can't fight about that... SDM drove us there and drove us back... I was first to drop off... (so kind of him to send his guys back... hee hee)
And... as Ras likes to say... and I quote 'what was discussed at the dinner table, remains at the dinner table'...

For those interested in the food, dessert there really makes the price worth it... the chocolate 'fountain', and the different cakes are really interesting... sashimi fans can look forward to salmon and swordfish... French food lovers... the fresh Oysters are good... there was even shark's fin soup... (which Clare found out only after all of us had our rounds... he was late and didn't realize it...)

I will survive the ordeal...
I have to... and I'll make sure I will...
till the day comes...
I have to say something else...
think something else...
which is what I should be doing right now...
Why am I not...?
